It has not yet been verified whether the clip is actually from the film, if it has been generated through AI, or if it belongs to a completely different project. In the clip, the actress quickly looks towards the person beside her and says “What would you do if…”, while the remainder of the clip stays redacted.The clip has still managed to spark renewed debate over whether Sink’s character will play Jean Grey in the film, despite Tom Holland‘s comments. During one of his latest promotional interviews with Brazilian TikToker Natalia Kreuser, the actor confirmed that the popular character will not be appearing in the film. He stated, “She’s not in this movie, but it would be pretty cool.”

As the clip circulated online, fans and netizens alike started sharing their theories about what the artists could be playing in the film. Director Destin Daniel Cretton explains why the secrecy around Sadie Sink’s character is good
While talking to The Hollywood Reporter, Cretton opened up about the secrecy that the cast and production team have maintained around Sadie Sink’s character. He commented that the overall secrecy and ambiguity of our character makes the film much better. Further on, he added that, “You’ll honestly understand when you see the movie. The movie is a better movie if you don’t know certain things. I wish people didn’t know anything when they go in to watch this movie, but we’re not doing it for any other reason but to protect the experience of the fans. Whoever goes on opening weekend, you are going to have a much cooler experience if you go in not knowing certain things.”
