Samara Weaving has been tapped to play Emma Frost in the highly anticipated ‘X-Men’ movie currently in development, marking a major casting announcement for the mutant superhero franchise. According to Deadline, the actress landed the coveted role following an extensive audition process that concluded earlier this week. Director Jake Schreier and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige selected Weaving after meeting with multiple candidates for the part. The final list of actors tested for the role was compiled right after July 4th, with Weaving’s audition ultimately proving decisive in the casting decision.
