Rishab Rikhiram Sharma has set his sights on the Oscars!The Sitar maestro on Monday, shared a glimpse of his live performance from the grand ‘Ramayana’ Bharat Mandapam event in New Delhi, where he performed his rendition of ‘Rama Rama’. Sharing the video on his handle, he also expressed his excitement about being a part of the film and also shared confidence on possibly landing an Oscar nomination.The musician took to the comments to write, “Honoured to contribute to this historic project celebrating the story of Ramayana. I humbly present a rendition of ‘Rama Rama’ to you all performed live last night at Bharat Mandapam. See you at the Oscars.”

Rishabh Rikhiram Sharma joins AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer
During the launch event, producer Namit Malhotra confirmed that Sharma has officially joined the film’s music team alongside Academy Award winners AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer. Announcing the collaboration on stage, Malhotra said, “Rishabh is also, in addition to Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman. He is also going to be contributing his talent to Ramayana.”The Ramayana launch event, unveiled the film’s first trailer and introduced audiences to the scale of Nitesh Tiwari‘s adaptation of the ancient epic. Alongside the trailer, the event showcased glimpses of the film’s visual world, concept art, costumes, character illustrations and star-studded cast.
‘Ramayana’ trailer slated for July 24 release
The film’s leading cast, comprising of Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Ravi Dubey, director Nitesh Tiwari, producer Namit Malhotra, Kunal Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi, Arun Govil, Ajinkya Deo, Shobhna, were joined by several prominent personalities from the film industry, including Swami Ramdev, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and others.‘Ramayana’ will soon make a splash at the world stage when its trailer debuts at San Diego Comic-Con on July 24.
