In a recent statement, the singer’s wife, Penny Lancaster, shared a rare update about his health after he officially cancelled all of his 2026 tour dates because of his heart surgery.

Following reports of the musician having heart surgery, his wife, Penny Lancaster, is finally sharing a health update about the actor. While talking to the Press Association about the matter, Lancaster shared that her husband will “come back stronger than ever.”After undergoing a coronary stent procedure, the musician was advised to take four weeks off for recovery. Following the procedure, his team later confirmed that all of the remainder of the dates for his ongoing 2026 tour have been completely cancelled. Lancaster added in the statement that “he’s back at full speed in his day-to-day activities, but the doctor’s orders were to kind of postpone or cancel the current tour, because you know the risk factors involved.”“I mean, he does not sit down; I can never find him. He’s, you know, he’s got his hobbies. I mean, he’s just been in the gym working out, but we were under strict instructions about the level of workout he could do, and it’s a gradual build-up, build him up, build him up, kind of thing,” she added on. She also added that she had to keep the doctor updated on how Stewart performed his concerts and “ran around” for almost two hours. The 55-year-old TV presenter added, “So, I compared him to either a boxer coming out of his dressing room on the way to the ring or a horse coming out of the blocks. I mean, he runs on, and he’s like, you know, straight into it, 100 miles an hour, and doesn’t stop.”She concluded her statement by sharing that Stewart cannot wait to meet his fans again and that he was devastated when he had to cancel all of his tour dates since he was aware of how everyone was looking forward to seeing him on stage live. As of right now there have been no updates about when the singer will resume his musical career.
