Another new project under the ‘Star Wars’ franchise is underway, with actors Ryan Gosling and Flynn Gray leading the roles. The first look for the upcoming entry in the series, ‘Star Wars: Starfighter,’ has officially been revealed, exciting fans about Gosling’s involvement in the movie.
First look for ‘Star Wars: Starfighter ‘ released
New information and the first official look from the sets of ‘Star Wars: Starfighter’ have officially been released. Following the D23 fan confab, Deadline reported that the audience caught the first-ever glimpse of the film, which had been announced last year in April. Reports revealed that while the film will be set in the same universe, it will follow a storyline on a completely new and different set of planets, and the Skywalker plotline will not be explored.Gosling will play Kade, an ambitious pilot. The first clip, which was shown exclusively to the attendees at the expo, showed Gray walking into an old garage meant to repair spaceships. He pulled off the cloth from one of the spaceships there, just when the ‘Project Hail Mary’ star walked in and told him, “Didn’t I tell you not to touch anything?” Gray’s character then replied, “It’s a decommissioned G17,” to which Gosling said, “The fastest straighter ever built.” The clip then gives glimpses of speeder bikes, starships, and even the bridge that Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia swing over, revealing the connection between the ‘Star Wars’ films without showing any of the original characters that fans have come to know about.The first photo from the sets of the movie also revealed that Gosling and Gray’s characters are on a sea-filled planet.
When will ‘Star Wars: Starfighter’ be released?
According to the outlet, the official release date for the upcoming ‘Star Wars’ film has been set to May 26, 2027. It has been directed by Shawn Levy, who is also responsible for projects like ‘Night at the Museum,’ ‘Deadpool and Wolverine,’ ‘Real Steel,’ and ‘Free Guy.’ This release in the ‘Star Wars’ franchise comes after the release of ‘Star Wars: Mandalorian and Grogu,’ which collected around USD 345 million at the box office, according to Sacnilk reports. ‘Star Wars: Starfighter’ is going to be released on the same day the original ‘Star Wars’ film was released almost 50 years ago.
