Chidambaram‘s ‘Balan: The Boy’ has now crossed the Rs 24 crore mark at the worldwide box office, although it witnessed a decline in box-office collections on its ninth day.According to Sacnilk estimates, ‘Balan: The Boy’ collected Rs 84 lakhs net in India on Day 9. The latest figure represents a 28.2% drop compared to the Rs 1.17 crore earned on Day 8.The film was screened across 864 shows on Saturday. Chidambaram’s directorial’s India net collection has climbed to Rs 13.30 crore, while the India gross collection stands at Rs 15.41 crore.The film has also performed steadily in overseas markets by collecting Rs 8.85 crore gross internationally. Its worldwide gross collection has reached Rs 24.26 crore.
Occupancy remains healthy
The Malayalam version registered an overall occupancy of 43.99% on Day 9. Morning shows recorded 17.58% occupancy before improving to 30.42% during the afternoon. Evening shows registered 42.42%.
