NEW DELHI: Making light of the BJP’s charge that it wants a “regime change”, Congress said it has never hidden its objective of bringing down the Modi govt through democratic means, calling it normal in democracy and which BJP also did in the past when Congress was in power.AICC spokesman Pawan Khera said former President Pranab Mukherjee used to say that “the job of the opposition in a democracy is to oppose, expose and depose the govt”, underlining that he was given a Bharat Ratna by the BJP govt. He rebuffed the charge that Congress wants to seize power through unconstitutional means, stating that questioning a CEC does not imply an assault on ECI, demanding electoral reforms does not amount to attack on democracy and seeking a replacement of govt is not a coup.
