Actor-turned-politician Vijay’s son Jason Sanjay is set to make his directorial debut with the upcoming action-adventure heist comedy ‘Sigma’, starring Sundeep Kishan in the lead. The makers have announced the film’s certification on X (previously Twitter) along with a new poster ahead of its theatrical release, with ‘Sigma’ receiving a U/A rating. The film is scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on October 2. The certification comes days after the release of the film’s trailer, which was launched on September 19. The trailer introduced ‘Sigma’ as a blend of action, adventure, comedy and heist elements, while establishing the central conflict surrounding Sundeep Kishan’s character.

The trailer introduces Sundeep Kishan’s character as a man who is betrayed and loses everything. Rather than accept his circumstances, he decides to fight back and reclaim what was taken from him. At the centre of the story is a massive Rs 500 crore racket involving drugs and gambling, drawing the protagonist into a dangerous world of crime and deception. The story also has a romantic track involving Sam, an RJ played by Faria Abdullah. The protagonist eventually plans an ambitious heist with the help of his friends, but their operation is disrupted by Reddy, played by Sampath Raj.The trailer then shows Kishan’s character returning with renewed determination and attempting to overcome the obstacles standing between him and his goal. The film also incorporates humour and emotion alongside its heist and action elements.
