Marriage speculation around Kriti Sanon has often made headlines, but her brother-in-law and singer Stebin Ben believes the actor should never feel pressured to settle down. In a recent interview, Stebin said Kriti has earned the right to make that decision on her own terms and should marry only when she feels completely ready.
‘She deserves the freedom to decide’
Asked if conversations about Kriti’s marriage take place within the family, Stebin revealed that while people often raise the topic, he prefers to support her instead of joining the discussion.Speaking to Galatta India, Stebin said, “People do talk about it because after the younger sister gets married, everyone starts asking why the elder one hasn’t. But I never discuss it with Kriti, and whenever the topic comes up, I stand by her. She’s doing exceptionally well in her career. A girl coming from a small town and building such a big identity for herself on her own is a huge achievement.”He added that marriage should happen only when the individual feels certain.“I think she should get her own time and freedom. When Kriti feels that she has found the right person and believes it’s the right time for marriage, she will take that decision. There is absolutely no need to rush.”Stebin further said there should be no age limit attached to marriage.“Whether someone gets married at 20, 30, 35 or even 40, it doesn’t matter. You should marry only when you’re completely sure. Why rush into something so important?”Kriti has been rumoured to be dating London-based businessman Kabir Bahia since mid-2024. While neither of them has officially confirmed the relationship, they have frequently been spotted together during vacations, family gatherings and public events, including Nupur Sanon’s wedding festivities. Recently, breakup rumours surfaced after Kabir was seen with another woman. However, Kriti appeared to put the speculation to rest by sharing a cosy picture with him on Instagram, reigniting buzz about their relationship.
‘I relate to Kriti’s journey’
Apart from her personal life, Stebin also spoke warmly about Kriti’s professional journey, saying he sees similarities between their careers.“When I look at Kriti, I relate a lot to my own journey. Somewhere that’s why I connect with her so much. She came into the industry, worked hard, moved ahead on her own and earned her stardom entirely through her own efforts.”He also admired the fact that despite becoming one of Bollywood’s leading stars, she has remained grounded.“Today she has become such a big star, but she’s still connected to her parents and remains grounded. Everything about her is the best.”
‘There are no limits for her’
Stebin believes Kriti’s best years are still ahead.“I think her future is very bright. She is going to go much further. She has so many films lined up, and I feel there are no limits for her.”He concluded by praising her growth as an actor.“Over the years, she has become a better actor, and people can see that. Her fandom is growing, people are giving her more love, and I’m very sure she will do wonders and make everyone proud. She is already making everyone proud. I’m super proud of her.”
